The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here. Fiat Chrysler has decided to answer the prayers of Jeep lovers everywhere, announcing that it will combine the beastly Hellcat powertrain with one of our favorite models—the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Better yet? This monster of a machine will be arriving in dealerships in 2017.

During the New York International Auto Show, the Jeep brand’s head honcho Mike Manley—such an appropriate name for the rugged brand’s chief—said the Jeep Grand Cherokee outfitted with the Hellcat engine will appear near July 2017 in the United States.

“We talked about launching a higher performance vehicle which we’ll do next year which will feature the Hellcat engine,” said Mike Manley, the Jeep brand’s head in an interview with Wheels magazine. It’s going to be plenty powerful.”

Along with that little tidbit, Manley confirmed that it would not be called the Hellcat. It’s likely that it will be badged a Trackhawk instead. There was no confirmation, though, as to whether or not the Grand Cherokee would be able to churn out 707 horsepower like its Dodge Charger and Challenger (soon-to-be) brethren.

This new Grand Cherokee model will be offered alongside the SRT and will feature a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that is typically seen in Dodge’s performance models. Regardless of its output, we do know that this is going to be one hell of a Jeep—and it’s going to be much more powerful than the Grand Cherokee SRT.
