81-Year-Old Woman Hits 166 MPH in a Corvette
No, you don’t need to put on your reading glasses. That really does say, “81-year-old woman hits 166 MPH in a Corvette,” and no, it’s not another one of our silly April Fools posts. (Come on, it’s August, we’re not that foolish.)
Credit goes to GM Authority for the YouTube find, which features a speed demon grandmother at the Sun Valley Road Rally in Idaho. The woman gets behind the wheel of her own 2000 Chevy Corvette (a C5) to reach an incredible 166.3 mph.
She was able to do this, of course, because the Sun Valley Road Rally has a “no speed limit” zone where we people—even our grandmothers—can let loose.
According to the video (below), somebody asked the woman, “Do you want me to drive?” to which she replied, “Hell no, I’m driving the car!”
