Aldred Taps Leo Burnett for Next GMC Ad Campaign
In an effort to increase brand awareness—and thus boost sales—Buick and GMC US Vice President, Duncan Aldred, has reached out to ad agency, Leo Burnett, to develop the next GMC ad campaign. Reportedly, it will be a “big umbrella campaign” meant to position GMC in the mind of uninformed drivers as the premium truck brand that it is.
In addition, this upcoming GMC ad campaign will highlight specific models to lure non-GM drivers to the brand. The campaign will first spotlight the Denali sub-brand, which currently thrives off of word-of-mouth marketing but could become something even greater with the appropriate advertising.

Already this year, GMC is doing sensationally. Sales through September of this year shot up 10% over the same time period last year, marking the best performance of any of the GM brands here in the US this year. A new ad campaign will only serve to continue that success.
“We’ve got to evolve that into something that builds the brand itself,” Aldred told Automotive News. “The hard bit is breaking through and getting people to recognize it.”
