“March was an exceptional month for us. A growing economy and strong new products helped us execute a very successful plan to conquest consumers from other brands,” said Kurt McNeil, U.S. vice president of Sales Operations. “Once customers purchase a GM product, they tend to stay in the family as we deliver an award-winning ownership experience that is hard to beat.”

Crossover sales jumped 41%, including 50% for Buick, 42% for GMC, and 39% for Chevy. GM pickup sales rose 19%. Cars did well in March, too, as Cadillac car deliveries rose 7%. Meanwhile, Chevy saw a 2% gain for the Spark, a 3% gain for the Malibu, and a 16% gain for the Sonic.
