These 2017 Fiat 124 Spiders are waiting to arrive at dealerships

It has been 30 years since the Fiat 124 Spider was sold on American soil. Now, this iconic Italian-inspired roadster is back—and it’s better than ever.

Just a few weeks ago, the all-new 2017 roadster arrived at the Port of Baltimore and the Port of San Diego, which will allow the vehicle to go on sale later this month. This will mark the first time the Fiat 124 Spider has been sold since 1985. It was originally introduced almost 50 years ago on November 2nd, 1966.

“After much anticipation, the all-new Fiat 124 Spider is here in the US and will start to arrive at Fiat studios next week,” said Bob Broderdorf, Director of Fiat Brand North America. “Just in time for the prime convertible season, customers will now have the opportunity to experience our Italian-designed, fun-to-drive roadster for themselves.”

Fiat’s newest 124 Spider pays homage to the original model with its Italian design, terrific performance, and advanced technology. It comes equipped with a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo four-cylinder engine, which churns out 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque—plenty of power to make driving the 124 Spider fun. If consumers opt for the Abarth trim, they will get slightly more power with the four-cylinder engine, churning out 164 hp instead of 160 hp.

Along with some peppy power, the 124 Spider also comes outfitted with available technology like passive entry with keyless go, Bluetooth® connectivity, heated seats, and Fiat connect, which gives drivers access to Pandora, Stitcher, and Aha apps. It even has available Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Path detection, and ParkView rear backup camera.

With these updates, the Fiat 124 Spider is sure to become the go-to for consumers that want to let their hair down in style. The 124 Spider will have a starting MSRP of $24,995, too, which makes it even more appealing than ever before.
