The 2017 Honda CR-V

A month after beginning global production in East Liberty, Ohio, the all-new 2017 Honda CR-V went on sale today, carrying a starting MSRP of $24,045.

The all-new CR-V is available in five different trims—LX, EX, EX-L, EX-L with Navigation, and the top-of-the-line Touring trim, which starts at $32,395. Each trim comes with standard front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive.

The base CR-V LX features an in-line 4-cylinder producing 184 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. The LX yields an EPA-rated mileage of 26 mpg in city traffic, 32 mpg on the highway, and 28 mpg combined. Opting for AWD costs an additional $1,300, and drops the EPA ratings to 25/31/27 mpg in city/highway/combined traffic.

All other trims are powered by the CR-V’s first-ever turbocharged engine, a 1.5-liter DOHC, direct-injected L-4 that features more power and better efficiency than the base powertrain. Mated to a continuously variable transmission, the turbo 4-cylinder is rated at 190 hp and 179 lb-ft of torque, and yields fuel economy ratings of 28/34/30 mpg (FWD) and 27/33/29 mpg (AWD) in city/highway/combined traffic.

A full breakdown of prices and EPA ratings for each trim level can be found in the chart below.

The redesigned, fifth-generation edition of the bestselling CR-V also boasts new styling, a more spacious interior, and the expansion of the Honda Sensing safety features to now come standard on EX and higher trims. Honda is also targeting the highest possible collision safety ratings, including an NCAP 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from the NHTSA and an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating.
