All-New Kia Rio Set to Make World Debut in Paris
The fourth-generation Kia Rio will debut at the Paris Motor Show later this year
If you’re thinking of purchasing a new 2016 Kia Rio, you might want to hold off a bit. Kia recently announced that the all-new, fourth-generation Kia Rio will make its global debut at the 2016 Mondial de l’Automobile—aka the Paris Motor Show—on September 29th.
For the fourth generation, Kia has given the Rio a significant redesign. Both the exterior and interior have been redone through a collaboration between the South Korean carmaker’s design centers in Germany and California. Even Kia’s main design center in Namyang, Korea had some input.
The Rio’s rendering showcases the car’s changes, which include more sculpted bodylines and a longer wheelbase, along with a longer front end. Even the tweaks Kia made to the C-pillar—making it more upright—gives the confident a more balanced look than last year’s model.
The all-new Rio has sleeker, more sculpted lines
There is no specific information out yet on the exact features the Kia Rio will offer, but it would come as no surprise if its standard technology includes features normally found on higher trim levels. Kia claims the Rio “will offer buyers class-leading practicality and safety technology,” which the brand typically does already. One thing we do know is that the all-new Rio will definitely come with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, since Kia recently made this innovative connective technology standard in all new models.
