All-New Kia Sportage, Optima Earn Top Design Awards
If you want a car that truly stands out, then your best bet is a Kia. At least, that’s what the iF Design Award judges think. Kia recently announced that both the 2016 Sportage compact crossover and 2016 Optima sedan have been named iF Design Award winners, making this the seventh year in a row that Kia has won the prestigious award.
“We are delighted to accept these awards for the all-new Kia Sportage and Optima as proof of our design teams’ consistent efforts to develop prize-winning designs,” said Steffen Cost, Managing Director of Kia Motors Deutschland. “The new Sportage features a distinctive new face, and the elegant Optima sedan highlights other, different facets of Kia’s design. These are important flagship models for us, clearly demonstrating the design-led transformation of the Kia model range in recent years.”
To earn these design awards, each car was evaluated by an independent jury. The jury examined each car for its finish, innovative design, environmental impact, and safety. The newest Sportage boasts an entirely redesign interior, which uses high quality materials to create an elegant, sleek design. Both the Sportage and Optima’s exteriors also boast an athletic design, which is only enhanced by the models’ GT Line.
