All-New Nissan Lannia Bows in Shanghai
Nissan took a brand new model to Auto Shanghai 2015 earlier this month: the all-new Nissan Lannia, based on the Friend-Me Concept and then the Lannia Concept (which made an appearance at Beijing last year). The version of the Lannia on display in Shanghai this year is the final step in the concept to car process and is meant to express “the company’s commitment to China.”

Specifically, Nissan is aiming the Lannia at younger Chinese buyers, in their 20s and 30s. The automaker believes that appealing to these trendsetters will help establish the brand more fully in the country.
“Edging forward is not enough. The market in China is moving very fast, especially with the post-1980s generation,” remarked Titus Liu, Creative Design Manager at Nissan Design China. “They do not want to stick with the status quo, so we are dedicated to finding the next great breakthrough. This is important for us.”
You’ll notice that the Nissan Lannia sports a V-motion grille, floating roof, boomerang-shaped headlights, and a kick-up C-pillar. On the inside, it features several integrated infotainment technologies and advanced safety features.
