Audi Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is finally here, and Audi is prepared to showcase two models at the prestigious event. The Audi Q2 and the Audi R8 V10 Spyder are ready to wow the crowd in the showcase, and will be accompanied by the Audi TT RS, Q7 e-tron, A3, and S5 and others. According to the automaker, nine cars will be making their UK debut at the event, which should help draw in the spectators looking to see what new cars they can purchase from dealerships.

Audi knows how to treat its fans right, and Audi owners who show their key fobs will be ushered into a special VIP area of the display to get up close and personal with the new models and enjoy refreshments.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed takes place in West Sussex, and features a challenging hill climb event. Automakers from around the globe bring their latest models to show off to the world, even if they don’t compete in the event. Nick Mason, drummer for Pink Floyd and avid car fan, will drive the classic Auto Union Type C historic car on the hill climb on behalf of Audi Tradition for the ninth year running. Five-time Le Mans champion Frank Biela will take a 1990 Audi V8 quattro DTM car, harnessing its 462 hp to climb to the top of the hill. The 1990 Audi previously won the 1990 German Touring Car Masters (DTM) in its first try, so it should be ready to charge up the incline.
