Bees Apparently Love the Nissan Micra
Oh hai, bees.
Imagine for a moment, if you will, every nightmare you have ever had. Yeah, I know it’s a daunting task, but please pause for a moment to consider every time you were chased through some twisted dreamscape by bloodthirsty zombies riding on sharks or found yourself falling out of an airplane while only wearing your underwear as the biggest test of your life is being handed out.
Chances are pretty good that, even with your unlimited capacity for imagination, these nightmares are nowhere near as terrifying as the reality one unfortunate Nissan Micra owner in England had to face this past weekend. Oddly enough, little about this nightmare actually has to do with the fact that this particular individual willingly chose to purchase a Nissan Micra. No, instead, the horror is pretty much entirely generated by the swarms of bees that decided they were going to call the supermini car home.
Rory Edwards was the first to notice that flatmate George Neal’s Micra had become the new home for about 20,000 bees. The incident was not isolated to Neal’s Nissan Micra, however: thousands of bees descended upon the shops (and shippers) along Victoria Street in London on Friday. It is believed that the bees were following their queen on the way to a new hive and decided to stop on Neal’s car along the way.
“It was a bit of a strange sight. The bees were pretty timid though – they weren’t really interested in anything but George’s car. Maybe they wanted a lift,” Edwards told ITV. “Although none of us are allergic, we thought George probably would not want his car covered in a swarm of bees. He did literally have a bee in his bonnet though.”
When reached for comment about the ordeal, actor Nicholas Cage responded, “NOT THE BEES AHHHHH OH THEY’RE IN MY EYES MY EYES AHHHHH AHHH AHHHHRRGHH!”
Of course, Cage will also respond to most questions with something along the lines of “BAHHHHH WAUUUGHHH!”
