Behind-the-Scenes SPECTRE Video Shows Off New Bond Cars

James Bond fans have slowly been getting more and more info on the upcoming franchise entry, SPECTRE, which is set to be released November 6, 2015. There have been lots of rumors, reports, and production photos, but a definite deficit of actual footage (particularly, footage of the movie’s awesome Bond cars).

Finally, automotive enthusiasts are getting the awesome performance car footage they crave: James Bond driving a Fiat 500!

No, we kid—it’s actually a behind-the-scenes promo video showing off Bond’s specially-designed Aston Martin DB10, as well as the Jaguar C-X75 driven by the film’s villainous Mr. Hinx (Dave Bautista).

“We’ve taken delivery now of eight Aston Martins,” says action vehicles technical coordinator Neil Layton. “These are bespoke, these have been specially built for this film.”

Like Daniel Craig, the Aston Martin gets its own stunt doubles, which are roll caged and ready for action.

The movie’s crew shut down the streets of Rome, Italy, in order to film the chase scene, and it’s pretty exciting to see the two supercars go toe-to-toe in such a scenic setting.

Or, as Skyfall and SPECTRE director Sam Mendes puts it, “It’s a cat-and-mouse game through the nighttime streets of Rome, at great speed, between two of the fastest cars in the world, neither of which you’ll have ever seen before.”

Yeah, that does sound worth the price of admission.
