How you respond to the following song will likely determine how you respond to the story that follows:

Are there chills running up and down your spine? Are you flashing back to your college days, empty cans of Mountain Dew everywhere and a pair of empty pizza boxes at your feet as you and your roommate howl about how utterly and inexcusably cheap it is to use the Energy Sword? Are you recalling late hours and shouting about the only people needing to use the infamous “noob combo” being complete jerks?

If that applies to you, then you’ll surely be interested to learn that Ford has teamed with Xbox, 343 Industries, and Galpin Auto Sports to put together the Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat* in celebration of the upcoming release of Halo 5: Guardians.

As you might imagine, the F-150 Halo Sandcat’s primary stylistic influence is the United Nation Space Command’s fleet of vehicles—from the M12 Warthog to the M808 Scorpion. To drive home the point of the Sandcat’s place in the Halo universe, it has been granted the codename M552.

The F-150 Halo Sandcat is based on a 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4×4 with 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine and FX4 off-road package. The pickup was modified by GAS to include features such as Addictive Desert Designs’ Baja XTR off-road conversion kit, 17-inch wheels with off-road tires, full Halo-themed body wrap, and even an Xbox One gaming system on the inside with head-restraint-mounted screens.

Will the Ford F-150 Halo Sandcat make an appearance in Guardians when it launches on October 27th? Not certain. But it will be on display during E3 at the LA Convention Center this week.
