If you watched the Big Game last night, then you might have noticed it was filled with car commercials. From a simplistic ad for the 2017 Acura NSX to a slightly controversial commercial about the 2016 Toyota Prius, there was a car advertisement suitable for viewers of just about any income level. USA Today reports companies paid as much a $5 million for a 30 second advertisement, so brands went all out this year in order to grab the attention of viewers. Here are five of the best commercials from Super Bowl 50.

Celebrity Rides: You won’t believe these 5 stars drive bright pink cars

1) ‘The Longest Chase’

Toyota may have scored the funniest commercial from Super Bowl 50, as its commercial featured a group of bank robbers (who fans of The Wire might recognize) who used a Prius as their getaway car. The bandits were surprised at the spaciousness of the new 2016 Prius and one cop could even be heard asking, “How hard can it be to catch a Prius?” Well, not to spoil anything, but somehow these thieves were successful in their escape and also showed what an exciting vehicle the Prius can be. We just hope that viewers realize this commercial is pure fiction.

2) ‘The Big Game Meets The Big Day’

Buick’s first-ever Super Bowl commercial starred NFL player Odell Beckham Jr., model Emily Ratajkowski, and the new Buick Cascada convertible. Beckham Jr. is well known for making acrobatic catches on the football field, so when Ratajkoskia makes a one handed catch of the bouquet at her friend’s wedding, all the other guests say she “Odelled it,” but the wide receiver disagrees and suggests she was out of bounds when she made the catch.

3) ‘What She Said’

Acura didn’t see the need to hire a big-time celebrity to promote the all-new 2017 NSX. It seems like Honda’s luxury division decided the performance car could do all the talking. The commercial features the song “Runnin’ With The Devil” by Van Halen, and shows the process of how a block of metal can be turned into a beautiful 573 horsepower supercar.

4) ‘First Date’

Comedian Kevin Hart lends his talents to Hyundai in this ridiculous commercial about an overprotective father who allows his daughter’s date to borrow his 2016 Hyundai Genesis. Hart then used the CarFinder app by means of Hyundai BlueLink in order to track the couple down. So, whenever the young man started getting too close to his daughter, Hart will show up out of nowhere to scare the young guy straight.

5) ‘The Chase’

It’s everybody’s worst nightmare to be chased through the woods by a large Grizzly bear. Hyundai played off that fear to promote the new remote start feature of the 2017 Elantra. The commercial features a young couple who are just able to escape two pursuing Grizzly bears by remotely starting their Elantra by using Blue Link. The two bears then exchange a couple of funny jokes about just wanting to hug the two scared people.
