2016 BMW 7 Series Driving

If you’ve been paying any attention to the all-new 2016 BMW 7 Series, you know that this car means business. Every little detail in the 7 Series screams luxury, from the refined interior to the technology that is perfect for driving yourself or being driven by a professional driver. It should come as no surprise, then, that the BMW 7 Series won the 2016 World Luxury Car honor at the New York International Auto Show.

Dr. Ian Robertson, a member of BMW AG’s Board of Management, said, “Since it launched last autumn, the response from both the media and our customers has been extremely positive, with people especially appreciative of the way the 7 Series combines superb modern luxury with the outstanding driving dynamics BMW is famous for. With its many technical innovations, including gesture control and laser lights, there can be no doubt that the new BMW 7 Series is an outstanding flagship for the brand, setting new standards in its class.”

The BMW 7 Series has the benefit of being BMW’s flagship sedan, which means that it gets the best of the latest technology, like Android app integration, before anyone else. When it was redesigned for the 2016 model year, it was given serious upgrades in engineering to make it lighter and more powerful on the road without losing any of its comfort or refinement. BMW even added it to Uber fleets in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and New York City for a day to show it off, making those of us that do not have a personal driver in the budget appropriately jealous of anyone driving down the road in it.

While the BMW 7 Series is a purchase to merely dream of for most drivers, sales have been climbing since the new generation was released. Hopefully its features and awards bode well for what amazing things we can hope to see trickle down to BMW’s more attainable models.
