Pure&Crafted Festival

In August 2015, the first Pure&Crafted Festival, presented by BMW Motorrad, took Berlin by storm. Great music partnered with handcrafting artisans, food, and motorcycles made for a fun event with more than 7,000 attendees. In 2016, the festival will continue as an annual event on August 12 and 13.

The event took place at the Postbahnhof concert hall, near the River Spree and Ostbahnhof railway station in Berlin. The space outside is large enough for the two stages that the Pure&Crafted festival requires, as well as having a large, sheltered place for the marketplace selling fine handcrafted goods. Food vendors were on hand in 2015 to help keep concertgoers fed and happy, and they should be expected again in 2016.

Take a look at all the fun festival goers had in 2015 (be aware, one of the musicians curses towards the end of the video):

Several custom BMW motorcycles were also on display during the first Pure&Crafted Festival, so it will be interesting to see what designers will be bringing their work to show off. 2015 also saw a bike build-off to add a small touch of competition to the event, while still showing off BMW’s precision-tuned vehicles. Since the festival is primarily about promoting the motorcycles, it will be interesting to see what is added and maintained for the latest edition.

BMW has said that more details, including the musical lineup, will be unveiled this spring.
