BMW Concept M4 GTS Previews Special Production Car
At Monterey Car Week in California, BMW brought along a treat. The BMW Concept M4 GTS is a sneak peek at a real production M3/M4 special production vehicle–a first for the United States from the German automaker.

Concept cars are usually very dramatic, but since BMW has announced that the BMW Concept M4 GTS has already been chosen for development into a production car, this concept is a bit more understated and is considered more of a preview. It still has the powerful lines and dramatic colors associated with concepts, though. This mostly grey exterior is highlighted with orange details on the wheels and the front nose.
The BMW Concept M4 GTS is a return to BMW’s racing history, recalling the BMW M1 racing icon that progressed into the first turbocharged engine to triumph in the F1 World Championship. It also displays several new technologies that will be included in production vehicles later this year, such as lights with OLEDs, or organic light-emitting diodes. This Concept M4 GTS is also equipped with an advanced water injection system to help increase torque and power.
