2015 was the BMW Group’s most successful sales year ever. It seems as if 2016 is on track to be just as good, because the automaker just announced that in January there were a record number of car deliveries. In total, the MINI, Rolls-Royce, and BMW brands gave 152,879 pairs of keys to happy new car owners. That is a 7.5% increase from January of 2015.

For the BMW brand alone, sales increased by 7.5%, and with 133,883 cars delivered it was the strongest performer in the whole group in terms of volume. MINI brand sales were up 8.6%, and BMW Motorrad motorcycle sales went up 19.6%. While sales were up globally, deliveries fell 2.9% in the United States thanks to powerful winter storms. Canada and Mexico made up for the drop, however, with Canada seeing a 9.8% rise in sales and Mexico experiencing and astonishing 13% climb.

In the BMW brand, several models saw double-digit sales growth. In the case of the new BMW X1, sales climbed 60.4% compared to January of last year. Other crossovers and SUVs also saw a boost, with the BMW X6 seeing a 24.2% rise in sales. The new BMW 7 Series, which the brand has been pushing particularly hard this year after it was named the new flagship, saw a sales increase of 26.3% from this time last year when the previous generation was on the market. That amounts to 3,392 new luxury 7 Series cars on the road to make everyone jealous as they drive past.
