The reveals from the Paris Motor Show (or Mondial de l’Automobile Paris) are finally starting to roll out, and we are so excited to finally see some new concept cars, but also the vehicles that will actually make it to the assembly line. One of the most anticipated vehicles coming to the show is from the minds at BMW, and according to the rumors it will be a SUV concept that will head to production soon. SUV sales are starting to pick up with lower gas prices, so BMW is looking to add a powerful sixth model to its sport utility portfolio.

This concept will supposedly be a showstopper that will lead to the BMW X2 SUV, slated for possible production late next year. As CarScoops notes, prototypes of this new vehicle have already been seen on the road, so this concept probably won’t be as outlandish as this year’s BMW Vision Next 100 Concept, with its hidden wheels and autonomous driving.

BMW has been teasing its booth at the Paris Motor Show for a while, showing snippets of their booth and cars under tight-fitting covers. There have also been a few preview images of the concept vehicle, but of course they have been pretty vague and seemingly distorted by water under the vehicle. What we can say with absolute certainty is that this vehicle will have headlights, and that the concept will be painted red. Well, at least mostly red.

If you’re interested, the reveal will be broadcast on September 29th on Facebook Live, but it will probably be at an odd time for US customers because of the different time zones. The great thing about Facebook Live, though, is that the video should be ready and waiting for you after work or school.
