Bonjour Canada!
As new immigrants to Canada, we acknowledge that our new home is officially bilingual. Therefore, we would like to issue an official greeting to the francophone community of Canada.*
Bonjour Canada!
Merci,
*Editor’s Note: We would like everyone to know that this was not written by Kurt, our true francophone. Rebecca really wanted to try writing it, and she was very persistent. We did not realize that Rebecca has not had to write in French since she graduated from college in 2011, and she only knows France French. Sorry!
If you haven’t figured it out yet, this post is part of The News Wheel’s April Fools’ Day series about our “move” to Canada. We apologize to any Canadians who take offense. Americans can learn to take a joke.
