The Buick Encore posted its 23rd consecutive month of year-over-year growth with yet another double-digit gain in November. Encore’s sales increase and a solid month from the Enclave SUV were Buick’s brightest spots, but they were not strong enough to offset sales of the LaCrosse, Regal, and Verano being down between 34-50%.

Buick’s November sales totaled 15,960 units, a 16.6% year-over-year decrease from November 2014. Buick has secured another year above the 200,000-unit mark, but its November slide all but guarantees that sales will be down from 2014.

This is unsurprising given consumers’ continued shift away from sedans. Buick’s three-headed sedan lineup of the LaCrosse, Regal, and Verano all posted heavy losses in November, down 34.1%, 38%, and 50.6%, respectively. All three models will finish the year with double-digit sales declines.

The Encore, on the other hand, will likely experience a record year thanks to its 23rd month of growth. Encore sales totaled 5,133 units in November, up from 4,577 units moved in November 2014. Encore sales are up 33.3% to date with an impressive 61,051 unit sales total.

The Enclave is also well on its way to a year of solid growth with a 9.4% gain in November. To date, Buick has sold 56,145 Enclaves, up 2.3% from its total January-November 2014 total.
