Buick Sales Soar in July as Encore Continues to Roll
Buick’s sales surged 17.6% overall in July and 12% at retail, with the luxury brand selling 20,791 vehicles overall and 18,309 to retail customers during the month. While Buick’s overall sales lag slightly behind last year, momentum going into the end of the year could very well put the brand back on pace for record sales in the US.

As has been the case throughout the year, the LaCrosse and Verano both struggled in a climate that has increasingly turned away from cars in favor of trucks and utility vehicles, falling 12% and 25%, respectively. Buick sold 3,451 LaCrosses and 2,379 Veranos, bringing their respective totals to-date to 24,161 units and 19,877 units.
The Regal, on the other hand, was up 23.7% with 1,541 units sold. To date, the Regal is down 19.3% with 10,928 units sold on the year.
As ever, the Encore has another spectacular month, moving 6,826 units for a 68% increase. The Encore has now experienced 19 consecutive months of sales growth, bringing its to-date sales total to 37,375 units. The Enclave also had its best July ever with sales totaling 6,594 units, up 25% year over year.
