Buick Shares New Teaser Image of 2017 LaCrosse via Twitter

Buick seems like it’s taking a page from Beyonce’s playbook, at least when it comes to its less-is-more marketing approach.

In 2013, Beyonce released her self-titled album with zero promotion, only for it to sell more than 600,000 copies in the first three days of its availability.

Buick must be hoping to achieve similar success with its redesigned 2017 Lacrosse, as the photo it tweeted yesterday of the vehicle was only the second glimpse it has released of the newly styled LaCrosse.

Judging from the caption that accompanied the Tweet, Buick has high hopes this vehicle will become a hit with customers. The teaser image showcases the automobile’s smooth curves and also gives a peek of its headlamps and taillights that will presumably feature LED lighting.

The two photos released so far show hints of design influence from both the Avenir concept previously shown at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, as well as the unreleased 2017 Opel Insignia.

The 2017 Buick LaCrosse will come with a redesigned chassis and will also boast a new five-link rear suspension in order to improve the Lacrosse’s responsiveness.

Automobile Magazine has previously speculated the 2017 Lacrosse could feature the 2.0-liter turbo-four engine already implemented in the Buick Regal or it could feature a 3.5-liter V6 turbo engine.

The 2017 Buick LaCrosse is scheduled to officially debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show that begins November 18th.
