Buick’s April Sales Are Best Since 2005
Buick’s April sales figures came in last week, reflecting the most successful month of April sales since 2005. In total, the brand experienced an 8 percent retail sales gain over last April and a 12 percent total sales gain (in the United States). Last month also marked the brand’s best total monthly sales since 2006.
April was quite a successful month for the Buick brand. Its “Landing” commercial took home the 2013 Luxury Campaign of the Year from Nielsen; Kelley Blue Book named Buick as the Best Value Luxury Brand for the second year in a row; and J.D. Power’s 2014 U.S. Customer Service Index Study℠ saw Buick climb to the top in terms of customer satisfaction with dealer service among mass-market brands.
“Our growth is a result of an all-around strong lineup,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC. “Not only are our vehicles some of the freshest in the industry, but our dealers are completing the package with a customer experience that’s second to none.”
The Buick Encore in particular led the brand to success last month. In fact, the Encore posted a 48 percent year over year growth, as well as a 33 percent boost in retail sales. The Encore also boasts a 50-plus percent conquest rate.
The Encore didn’t steal all the glory, however. The 2014 LaCrosse, which underwent a redesign for this model year, had its best month of the year. Retail sales of the LaCrosse were up 12 percent and total sales were up 10 percent. Sales of the Ultra Luxury Interior Package recently began, which should boost numbers in the coming months.
The Regal sedan, also redesigned for 2014, saw its seventh straight month of retail sales growth, coming in at an 11 percent year over year retail jump and a 21 percent total jump.
