2015 Honda Accord Coupe and Sedan

Don’t let this boring promo shot fool you: the 2015 Honda Accord Coupe and Sedan are BOSS

You may not have known this yesterday, but today, August 20, marks a momentous occasion that will resonate forever in the annals of history. A single moment of such undeniable significance that, even decades removed, you will be able to look back and remember this precise moment with the fondness normally reserved for the birth of your first child. And in that small hour of reverence, you will smile and wipe away a joyful tear. I am speaking, of course, about the release of the 2015 Honda Accord Coupe, Sedan, and Hybrid. That’s right. You can buy one…right now.

The Accord Sedan starts at $22,105, the Coupe starts at $23,775, and the Hybrid begins at $29,305. This represents a nominal $150 price increase over the 2014 models at the base level.

The 2015 Accord lineup retains the same fuel economy as the previous year: 24/34/27 for the Sedan with six-speed manual transmission paired to four-cylinder engine; 27/36/31 for the Sedan with CVT paired to four-cylinder engine; 21/34/26 for the Sedan with six-speed automatic paired to V6; 24/34/27 for the Coupe with six-speed manual transmission paired to four-cylinder engine; 26/35/29 for the Coupe with CVT paired to four-cylinder engine; 18/28/22 for the Coupe with six-speed manual paired to V6; 21/32/25 for the Coupe with six-speed automatic paired to V6; and 50/45/47 for the Hybrid.

So what has changed with the 2015 Accord? According to Honda:

The 4-cylinder Sedan and Coupe EX-L and EX-L Navi trims now include the convenience of the HomeLink® universal remote system that can be programmed with the codes of up to three devices, such as a garage-door opener or home security system. The 2015 Accord EX Coupe with 4-cylinder engine gains the Honda LaneWatch™ display that uses a camera and in-dash display to provide an enhanced view of the passenger-side roadway. All Accord EX-L and above Coupes will also now come equipped with an auto dimming rearview mirror.

So, yeah, not tons. But that’s okay for anyone interested in buying one, given that these are improvements on a model that won a plethora of awards for the 2014 model year, including a 28th-straight “10 Best” title from Car and Driver, KBB.com’s “10 Best Green Car of 2014” (Hybrid) and “Best Resale Value,” and an Automobile Magazine “All-Star” award.
