C7 Corvette Sales Triple from Last Year’s
Saying that the C7 Corvette is awesome is an understatement. Saying that it is the most fantastic thing to have ever been invented in the known universe—well, that’s a little more accurate, but probably still an understatement.
This year’s C7 Corvette sales speak for themselves. Reportedly, despite an overall dip in sales last month for General Motors, the C7 line shot up more than 300 percent over August of 2013. To be exact, Chevy managed to sell 2,679 Corvettes last month, marking a 309.01 percent increase over last year. Year-to-date, Chevy has moved an impressive 23,483 units, compared to last year’s 6,999 year-to-date figure.
With new innovations, like Valet Mode, the Performance Data Recorder, and the Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission, it’s likely that the Corvette will continue to impress, though sales will likely soon plateau.
