The latest vehicle to be named an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ is the 2017 Cadillac XT5 luxury crossover

After launching two new models this year, it really should come as no surprise that Cadillac is continuing to increase its sales. For the month of September, the American luxury carmaker saw its fourth consecutive month of double-digit percentage global increases, posting a rise in year-over-year sales of 22.2%.

This increase in sales was helped significantly by the new XT5 crossover and the CT6 sedan, both of which had their highest sales since they were released. The XT5 has officially established itself as the brand’s top-selling product with 9,421 units sold in September. This is an increase of 10.5% compared to the XT5’s August sales. The CT6 also saw a significant increase with 19.9% growth compared to the previous month.

“Our results show Cadillac is earning growth through a disciplined strategy built on a foundation of product substance,” said Johan de Nysschen, Cadillac President. “Both products launched this year continue to gain momentum, as we elevate all aspects of our business to a more premium position globally.”

Along with the XT5 and CT6 seeing such significant increases, the other Cadillac models currently in production also saw increases. The Escalade increased 28.4%, the XTS luxury sedan increase 29.7%, the CTS saw a 10.1% increase, and the ATS increased 5.9%.

The most significant increase was in one of Cadillac’s largest markets—China. In the Chinese market, the brand saw a 63.1% increase, which is significant compared to the 3.1% increase seen in the United States. There was also growth in Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and South Korea.

With these increases, the year-to-date Cadillac sales are up 6.7%.
