For an automaker to be successful in China, it is imperative that they offer a cutting-edge extended-length sedan that offers performance, efficiency, and state-of-the-art tech. Today, the all-new Cadillac ATS-L launches in China, introducing a new eight-speed automatic transmission, automatic start/stop system, and becoming the first vehicle in China to offer OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi.

The new ATS-L, which is also the first luxury vehicle in China built to support Apple CarPlay, will be available in three unique trims ranging in price from RMB 288,800 to RMB 428,800 (approximately $45,690 to $67,838 USD).

The original ATS-L launched in August of last year and has since become a favorite among China’s younger, affluent drivers. The new model is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged SIDI engine mated to the eight-speed automatic, and it is also offered with a six-speed automatic. The presence of start/stop technology cuts fuel consumption by 8%, while max output of 272 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque results in a 0 to 100km/h of 6.2 seconds.

The new Cadillac ATS-L also features sport-tuned rear-wheel drive, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, Brembo high-performance brakes, and a 50:50 weight distribution.
