Cadillac Officially Reveals 2017 XT5 Crossover, Announces Capsule Collection Collab
Cadillac will debut its XT5 crossover in the flesh at the Dubai Motor Show, but before it pulls off the literal cover, it’s pulled off the metaphorical (digital? virtual?) cover by revealing the 2017 Cadillac XT5 in the flesh. If you saw the leaked images from late June, it’s basically that same thing.

The XT5 was revealed as part of an announcement regarding Cadillac’s new partnership with Public School New York, which—contrary to its name—is a fashion company. Given Cadillac’s predilection for linking its vehicles with all things hip and fashionable, it’s not a terribly surprising pairing.
Public School New York will join Cadillac and the 2017 XT5 in Dubai this November, where it will debut its XT5-inspired capsule collection during a runway show that will accompany the new crossover’s debut.
“This is a new way for two American brands to join forces, share a passion for design and grow globally,” said Andrew Smith, Cadillac executive director of Global Design. “For Cadillac, it gives new meaning to being a patron of the arts.”
Cadillac introduced the XT5 to the world on a runway platform suspending 150 feet above the Hudson River via helicopter. Because practicality is for peons.
