Cadillac Sales Rise 3.1% in September as CT6, XT5 Continue to Score

Cadillac sales rose 3.1% year-over-year in September with sales totaling 15,368 units. Retail sales increased 4.7% at 13,107 units.

The brand was bolstered by the success of its two most recent additions to the lineup: the CT6 sedan and XT5 crossover. Sales of the former totaled 1,343 units overall and achieved the highest retail total since its launch. Sales of the latter totaled 4,608 units, bringing its year-to-date total to 21,696 units—or just 90 fewer units than to-date sales of the SRX.

The Escalade and Escalade ESV were also significant movers for Cadillac in September. Escalade sales were up 28.8% with 2,097 units delivered, and Escalade ESV sales were up 40% with 1,653 units. Escalade sales were also up 17% at retail.

Through nine months, sales of the Escalade and Escalade ESV have improved year-over-year, with Escalade sales totaling 16,131 units and increasing 7.7% and Escalade ESV sales totaling 10,556 units and increasing 4%.

Cadillac XTS sales were up 21.8% in September, increasing 348 units year-over-year with 1,948 deliveries. Through September, XTS sales are down 6.9% at 14,925 units delivered.

Sales of the Cadillac CTS were up 13.9% at 1,503 units delivered, and sales of the Cadillac ATS were down 22.9% at 1,770 units delivered. Both models are down more than 14% through nine months, with sales of the CTS totaling 12,148 units and sales of the ATS totaling 16,130 units.

Through September, Cadillac’s total US sales are down 5.1% at 119,286 units delivered. Retail sales are down 5.7% at 106,180 units delivered.
