Cadillac Slides, SRX Soars in July Sales
Cadillac sales were down 7% in July with deliveries totaling 14,154 units against 15,241 units sold in July 2014. To date, Cadillac has sold 95,053 vehicles in the United States in 2015, down 2.4% from 97,358 vehicles sold during the first seven months of 2014.
It was a rough month nearly across the board for Cadillac’s current lineup. Sales of the ATS totaled 1,588 units (down 38.5%), the CTS totaled 1,515 units (down 25.7%), the ELR totaled 66 units (down 64.9%), the Escalade totaled 1,669 units (down 32.3%), the Escalade ESV totaled 1,261 units (down 11.6%), and the XTS totaled 1,302 units (down 32.9%).
The lone bright spot for Cadillac in July was the SRX. The SRX was up 46.8% with sales totaling 6,753 units, bringing its to-date total to 36,960 units sold.
Through seven months, the SRX is selling 10.5% better than it had through July 2014. While July proved to be a rough month, the ELR, Escalade, and Escalade ESV are all also experiencing significant sales growth thus far.
