In the United States, the Cadillac CT6 has been well received by many automotive publications, who have praised the sedan’s rear seat infotainment system and unique safety technology, among other features.

Japanese Cadillac enthusiasts will get the chance to take in the CT6 sedan later this month when it goes on display at the Yurakucho Hankyu Men’s department store in Tokyo. Those attending the event will be able to get an up-close look at Cadillac’s newest flagship sedan. In addition, there will also be a demonstration of the sedan’s 34-speaker Bose Panaray sound system.

Pricing for the Cadillac is CT6 in Japan is quite different than what it is in the States. In the US, the 2017 Cadillac CT6 sedan carries a starting MSRP of $53,495, but in Japan the car will sell for ¥9,980,000, which is approximately $100,000 in US currency. In comparison, Mercedes sells its S300h luxury sedan for approximately $218,000 in Japan.

The 2017 Cadillac CT6 is scheduled to go on sale in the island country this October. This move by Cadillac comes on the heels on the company’s announcement that special White Edition packages will be offered in the country for the ATS and CTS sedans. Furthermore, Cadillac also announced a couple of months ago that a unique ATS Luxury Sport Edition will be offered only in Japan.

These moves could signal that Cadillac is making a stronger push to become competitive in the Asian marketplace.
