Cadillac U.S. Sales Dip 12.8% in November; XT5 Up 4.8%, Navigator Up 5.8%

Cadillac saw its total sales in the United States decline 12.8% year-over-year in November; retail sales were also down for the luxury brand, dropping 9.9% to 11,605 vehicles.

The Cadillac XT5 crossover posted growth both overall and at retail with respective growth of 4.8% and 11%. Cadillac delivered a total of 5,623 XT5 crossovers in November, bringing the total number sold through November to 61,424 vehicles—significantly more than the combined total of XT5s (32,049) and SRXs (22,015) sold through November 2016.

Sales of the Cadillac Escalade were also up in November, rising 5.8% to 2,218 vehicles delivered. The Escalade ESV were down the same percentage at 1,314 vehicles sold. To date, sales of the Escalade are down 0.5% at 20,113 delivered, and the Escalade ESV is down 2.1% at 13,129 sold.

All of Cadillac’s car offerings posted double-digit year-over-year declines: ATS was down 44.2% at 831 sold, CTS was down 37% at 656 sold, XTS was down 27% at 1,938 sold, and CT6 was down 33.5% at 777 sold. The ATS, CTS, and XTS are all down double digits through November, but the CT6 is poised to finish the year in the black with 23.2% growth to date at 9,701 sold.

To date, Cadillac’s US sales are down 5% at 141,136 vehicles delivered, and its retail sales are down 7.8% at 121,063 vehicles delivered.
