You might suspect that Caitlyn Jenner (formerly Bruce Jenner) has just permanently moved into the sidelines of Facebook where trending news stories hang out. Following her announcement that she is a transgendered woman, her cover appearance onVanity Fair, and her ESPY Award for her courage to be herself despite the consequences created by some of the more ignorant people in society, she has once again climbed into the spotlight, this time for a much less wonderful reason.

On February 7th, 2015, Caitlyn Jenner (recognized as Bruce Jenner at the time) was involved in a car accident that killed a woman, Kim Howe. Now, a woman who was injured in the same accident, named Jessica Steindorff, is suing 65-year-old Jenner for damages, although those damages have not been publicly named. Click here for footage of the accident.

Jenner also faces a lawsuit from Howe’s stepchildren.

The accident in February involved four cars in total on Pacific Coast Highway in California. Witnesses claim that Jenner was driving “negligently, reckless, and wantonly.” She somehow managed to rear end a white Lexus, propelling it into traffic where it hit a black Hummer H2, killing Howe. Jenner went on to rear-end Steindorff’s Toyota Prius.

Both Jenner and Steindorff are declining to speak on this issue.
