Think back on the trailers for some of your favorite action movies. They probably included an over-the-top attention-grabber, followed by some brief exposition via voiceover, some dialogue trying to become quotable catchphrases, and an arbitrary chase (either by foot or vehicle)–all culminating in a CGI-filled stunt sequence wrecking a car or two.

Even the most explosive trailers wouldn’t have more than two or three vehicles biting the dust–that footage is saved for the full-length film, which you now want to pay to see.

Australian director George Miller says–screw that.

We’ve finally received a better look into the film than that comic-con teaser gave us. To show you his film-making team isn’t fooling around, Miller packs ten car crashes in the new Max Max: Road Fury trailer.

Care to count them all?

Counting Down the Car Crashes in the New Mad Max Trailer

At the 0:29 mark, we get our first of the car crashes in the new Mad Max trailer–which is quite early in a video two-and-a-half minutes long.

The next one, merely ten seconds later, is caused by a lunatic leaping onto a moving vehicle and spearing it into explosions.

After a bit of a lull and some dialogue by a bald Charlize Theron, we get a two-for-one deal in a blue-tinted night shot.

Once we cross the trailer’s halfway mark, things get out of control. Cue the dramatic classical music (Verdi’s “Requiem”) and more fiery mayhem. Here comes flaming crash number five.

Sand dunes, the mortal enemy of the motorized vehicle in post-apocalyptic worlds, cause our sixth wreckage.

Number seven launches plenty of shrapnel into the air for good measure.

The trailer doesn’t slow down once a big-ass explosion from one armored vehicle rocks an entire caravan…

…taking out at least one vehicular casualty in the process (see the lucky guy at the bottom of the frame?).

“Surely that must be all,” you must be thinking. “They can’t fit any more motorized carnage into a two-minute trailer.”

Clearly you haven’t gotten to the point where a sandstorm rips apart a buggy and all its passengers–a sequences which acts as the climax of the preview for the May 1015 film.

We’re hoping that with ten car crashes already shown to the public in the trailer alone, the full Mad Max: Road Fury movie will have even more to offer us, rather than blowing off its best assets to get us into the theater seats.
