The Nissan Titan Pro-4X and Titan XD debuted at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show

This weekend, from August 24th -26th, the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) is taking place in Dallas. The show normally focuses on the big vehicles that power commercial trucking, with ample parking for big rigs and Department of Transportation physicals on site. However, Nissan decided for the first time in company history to join in at this industry show, and it is bringing the big guns to the Lone Star State.

The Nissan Titan and Nissan Titan XD trucks are proudly parked on the show floor at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Truck drivers who stop by booth 12045 will not only get up close and personal with the vehicles and a range of accessories, but they will also walk away with a flyer bearing a Nissan Vehicle Purchase Program (VPP) Claim ID for a discount on a range of Nissan models.

Nissan isn’t trying to say that these pickup trucks will take over the role of semi trucks. Instead, it is trying to show that these trucks are ready to work around the yard, or be equipped as rescue vehicles for broken down rigs, or complete tasks on job sites that require a more agile vehicle. After a long day of work, the Nissan Titan and Nissan Titan XD are always ready to relax in style, whether that means taking a trailer camping or a boat to the lake.

“With a full lineup of rugged Nissan commercial vehicles now on sale, it’s important to expand our reach to some of the nation’s best trade shows like GATS,” said Tiago Castro, director, Light Commercial Vehicles Sales & Marketing, Nissan North America, Inc. “We are excited to attend GATS for the first time with a range of tough and highly capable pickup trucks – and with each TITAN and TITAN XD featuring the industry’s best1 5-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, TITAN will feel right at home among the industry’s elite.”

We shall see if this helps Nissan gather more loyal fans in America’s large truck buyer segment.
