For the eighth year of Mopar’s beloved “Top Eliminator” program, the brand has added a “HEMI Heritage” component to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 426 Race HEMI® engine. The resulting “Top Eliminator HEMI Heritage” program has seen Mopar enthusiasts from across the country vying for a top spot for their Chrysler Group vehicles, which they have worked hard to accessorize, enhance, and restyle. In total, we’ll see four winners from the “Top Eliminator HEMI Heritage” contest, two of which will be on display at Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend, near Detroit.
Tips and Tricks: Four Easy Ways to Improve Gas Mileage
The two winners (Patrick O’Leary and Ron Dezsi) were selected at the 30th Annual “Mopars in the Park” car show in Farmington, Minnesota, back in June, and at the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in July, respectively. A third winner will be selected at the National Hot Rod Association U.S. Nationals event in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the end of this month. These winners are selected by a panel of Mopar representatives, who judge the competitors based on their Mopar content, contribution to the 50-year heritage of the 426 HEMI, overall appearance, and more.

A fourth “Top Eliminator HEMI Heritage” winner will be chosen by the Mopar social media community this October.
The two winners that have already been named will be showcased tomorrow, Saturday, August 16, at Woodward. The first winner is Patrick O’Leary’s 1968 Plymouth Road Runner, powered by a 426 HEMI V8. The second winner is Ron Dezsi’s 1969 Dodge Super Bee, also powered by a 426 HEMI V8.
