The Chevrolet Colorado has taken the truck world by storm this year by winning awards like 2015 Motor Trend Truck of the Year and having great months in sales. It is a great vehicle that allows drivers to have the versatility of a pickup truck without the hulking size. What could make this truck even better?

A diesel engine, that’s what.

Starting this autumn, select the 2016 Chevrolet Colorados will be on dealership lots and assembly lines with a diesel engine under the hood. According to GM, the starting price point for this truck will be around $31,000. This base price is for the 4×2 crew cab, and is almost $4,000 more than the traditional unleaded gasoline engine.
