Consumer Reports found that new Corvette owners walked away satisfied with their purchase nearly every time

Last month, sales for the Chevrolet Corvette were up by 32.1%. It would seem that sales aren’t the only area where the Chevy Corvette is excelling, as the model recently made it onto the Consumer Reports list for the 10 Most Satisfying Cars of 2017.

The list was based off of survey results collected by Consumer Reports throughout the year. In all, data on more than half a million vehicles was collected for the satisfaction survey.

The annual satisfaction study centers on one major question: if drivers had to do it all again, would they buy or lease the same model? More specifically, vehicles were rated in six separate categories: driving experience, comfort, styling, audio, climate systems, and value.

From there, Consumer Reports crafted a list of the 10 vehicles with the highest satisfaction ratings. Included on that list was the Chevrolet Corvette.

The Corvette’s performance is one aspect that made it such a satisfying vehicle

Consumer Reports and its subscribers found the Corvette to be quite impressive when it came to performance. The strong and steady acceleration, coupled with the Corvette’s various driving modes, helped drivers customize the precise on-road experience they wanted out of their Corvette.

The 2017 Corvette also offers a number of different drivetrains. The base 6.2-liter V8 engine delivers 455 horsepower, while upgrading to the Z06 Corvette model increases that power output to 650 horsepower.

As much as drivers were satisfied with the Corvette, the vehicle was not without its minor issues and problems. One common pain point was the low-slung cabin, which made it difficult for many drivers to get behind the wheel in the first place.

The Chevrolet Corvette was in good company on the Consumer Reports Most Satisfying Cars list. Other models featured on the list include the Tesla Model S, the Mazda MX-5 Miata, the Dodge Challenger, the Lincoln Continental, and the Porsche 911.

The Chevy Corvette has been in production since 1953, making it one of the longest-standing models in the automotive industry. These recent satisfaction ratings illustrate exactly why the Corvette has been around for so long.
