Chevrolet Intoxicates the Geneva Motor Show Audience with New Camaro Track Concept
Even though General Motors agreed to sell both its Opel and Vauxhall brands to PSA Group earlier this week–signaling GM’s exit from Europe’s small passenger car market–that didn’t stop the company from bringing a variety of Camaros and Corvettes to the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show, including the all-new Camaro Track Concept.
Based on the Camaro 1LE, the new Track Concept is designed for drivers who like to stand out both on the road and on the racetrack, as it features a number of upgrades that increase performance in both areas.
The Camaro Track Concept is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at 446 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. This capable V8 works with an eight-speed automatic transmission that includes paddle shifters, sending power to the rear wheels. Some of the upgraded equipment featured on this car includes a performance exhaust system, high-performance Brembo brakes, magnetic dampers, and electronic limited-slip differential.
To complement this vehicle’s stunning performance capabilities, Chevrolet gave the Camaro Track Concept an equally striking exterior design that’s highlighted by its satin green paint job and gloss black stripes. Furthermore, the Camaro Track Concept sets itself apart from normal Camaros thanks to smoked rear headlights, an enhanced aero package, and 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires.
Not to be outdone, the cabin of the Track Concept also comes with a few visual highlights. Chief among these are Recaro sports bucket seats, Chevrolet performance premium floor mats, and a suede flat bottom steering wheel.
If you’d like a chance to see Chevrolet Camaro Track Concept in person, it will be on display this month at the Geneva International Motor Show, which is open to the public from March 9th to March 19th.
