The Malibu is back with a new look for a new model year

For the 2019 model year, Chevrolet is planning to introduce the premium RS trim level to five of its vehicles. One of those vehicles just so happens to be the Chevy Malibu.

In addition to the new trim, the 2019 Chevrolet Malibu will also receive an updated exterior look.

Along with several other entries in Chevrolet’s passenger car lineup, the Chevy Malibu is set to undergo a major redesign for its front fascia during the 2019 model year. This exterior alteration involves a wider grille, additional chrome accents, and a new set of headlamps.

“The Malibu’s fresh look refines and enhances the sculptural beauty of the Malibu,” said John Cafaro, executive director of Global Chevrolet Design. “It will also be an obvious member of the Chevrolet car family.”

The Chevy Malibu RS will come equipped with several exclusive features

The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu RS is set to receive some exclusive additions of its own. These RS features include a black sport grille, black bowtie emblem, a rear spoiler, and 18-inch machined wheels.

Inside the Malibu RS, drivers will discover features like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and black cloth seats. Those drivers can also interact with Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 system via an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen.

New features added for other trims across the Malibu lineup include a Rear Vision Camera for the Malibu L and heated outboard rear seats for the Malibu Premier. The Malibu family as a whole will receive new color options for both the interior and exterior.

The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu RS will be priced right around $25,000. This new Malibu model, along with the rest of the 2019 Chevy Malibu lineup, should arrive at dealerships starting later this year.
