Chevrolet Middle East #iamarecordbreaker

How’d you close out 2017? With a cold? With a decent holiday gift haul? We’d be willing to bet that you didn’t set two Guinness World Records, which is exactly what Chevrolet Middle East accomplished. Gee, don’t you feel even less secure in the awesomeness of your year now?

The first of these two records was “Largest Online Photo Album of People Holding a Sign,” because there is literally a record for anything and everything. The previous record was 4,947 photos, once held by “a Dubai Entity”; Chevrolet, with the help of its fans, customers, and employees, blew past that mark with a total of 37,163 photos.

The second record was “Most People Contributing to a Stamp Image.” The record was previously set at 1,795 people, but Chevrolet rallied its troops and destroyed the old mark with 4,948 participants.

The effort to set these two very, very, very specific world records began in October with the #iamarecordbreaker campaign, which kicked off in Beirut this past October.

“We set our sights on breaking these two Guinness World Records titles in celebration of Chevrolet’s best-ever lineup,” said Chevrolet Middle East Head of Brand Ahmed Soudodi. “We were humbled and honored by the amount of participation, and shows Chevrolet’s true relevance to our region and the passion that exists for our brand, it also reiterates our commitment to putting customers at the center of everything we do.”

“Going into 2018, Chevrolet customers and prospects can expect one of the most diverse and among the youngest portfolios on the market, combining cutting-edge automotive engineering, innovative technologies, advanced safety features, sleek design, and unrivalled practicality,” Soudodi added.

So, just in case you missed it: best-ever lineup = holding signs and making stamps in record fashion.
