Chevrolet will be bringing a number of unique and exciting concepts to the 2013 SEMA Show, including unique spins on models such as the Malibu, Cruze, and Spark.  However, one that really caught our eye is the Chevrolet Performance Sonic RS Concept, thanks in large part to its unique yellow and blue exterior.

The Chevrolet Sonic RS will be at the 2013 SEMA Show.

The Sonic RS Concept, one of nine concepts scheduled for showcase in Las Vegas on November 5, combines the Chevy legacy of power with the needs and desires of a newer generation.  At first glance, this concepts uniqueness is unmistakable: a Lemon Peel Yellow exterior enhanced by electric blue graphics (the word SONIC bleeding across the car’s side panels) is punctuated by tinted head- and foglamps and blue-accented window moldings and rear hatch trim.

Additional exterior accessories include a color-tinted grille trim, headlamp rings, and mirror caps; Chevrolet says that these accoutrements will be available through Chevrolet dealerships and that more creatively-inclined Sonic drivers will be able to create their own graphics and accents.

Aesthetics aside, the Performance Sonic RS Concept will feature a good deal of performance-inclined mechanical tuning, including:

  • A Stage Kit, cold-air induction and a high-flow exhaust      system allow the 1.4L turbo engine
  • Track-tuned suspension system and higher-performance brake      upgrade kit, featuring Wilwood front calipers
  • Lowered ride height for a sportier stance (via suspension      kit)
  • Chevrolet Performance 18-inch, split-five-spoke wheels      (colored to match the Sonic’s blue accents)
