Chevrolet sales totaled 188,794 units in the US in December, raising the brand’s cumulative sales for 2015 past the 2-million mark. December sales were up 2.1% thanks to strong performances from the Equinox, Trax, Silverado, and Colorado in particular, leading the brand to a year-end total of 2,125,347 units sold.

December figures were good enough for Chevy’s best sales for the month since 2006 (as well as its best retail performance in December since 2005), and the final tally marks Chevrolet’s best US sales mark since 2007.

Overall, Chevrolet was led by substantial sales increases from pickups and crossovers. Silverado and Colorado sales combined for 684,974 units, up 27% from the number of pickups sold in 2015. With the addition of the Trax, which was red-hot in December with a total of 5,323 units sold and totaled 63,030 sales throughout the year, crossover sales totaled 470,902 units and rose 23% over 2014 sales.

Volume-wise, Chevrolet was led by the Silverado lineup, which accounted for 600,544 units, followed by the Equinox at 277,589 units, the Cruze at 226,602 units, the Malibu at 194,854 units, and the Traverse at 119,945 units.
