Chevy and GM Continue Partnership with American Cancer Society
Chevrolet and GM continue to support the American Cancer Society for the seventh consecutive year, with both entities having donated over $7.7 million since 2011.
Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing, articulates: “The Chevrolet team knows how important it is to be part of the fight against breast cancer, as many of our own family and friends have been affected by the disease. We are proud to partner with the American Cancer Society and our dealers once again to raise awareness and funds for research toward a cure.”
This October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Chevrolet and GM will unroll a four-tiered strategy for supporting the American Cancer Society. It will consist of Chevrolet dealership walks, Chevrolet and GM employee walks, Team Chevy motorsports, and a social media campaign.
Finally, Chevrolet’s social media campaign will donate $5 for every social post on Twitter or Instagram that has the hashtag #IDriveFor.
Sharon Byers, chief development and marketing officer for the American Cancer Society, expressed thanks on behalf of her organization: “We are very grateful for corporate sponsors such as Chevrolet who continue to increase breast cancer awareness and help us attack cancer from every angle.”
