In case you missed it, Thanksgiving is coming up very soon. It’s a time for much rejoicing with friends and family you may not get to see as often as you’d like, and it’s also a time for engaging in the great American pastime of eating to the point of extreme discomfort and then feeling really bad about yourself for a couple of hours before you realize that there’s still pie to smash.

Before you can do any of that pie-smashing, chances are good that you’ll need to hit the road to head out to grandma or grandpa or mom or dad’s house. This can be particularly stressful for parents with children younger than 18 years of age, finds a Harris Poll of 1,063 American parents done on behalf of Chevrolet.

While 93% of the responding parents said that they like or love family road trips, 63% said that they find traffic and delays to be stressful, another 26% said that they get stressed out by the age-old question “are we there yet?”, and 31% find that keeping children entertained is stressful. This, naturally, feeds into the idea of having Wi-Fi or internet connectivity in a vehicle—a feature that 56% of parents thought would improve the quality of family road trips and, conveniently, is one of the selling points of the 2018 Chevy Traverse and Equinox.

“The vehicle is the new family dinner table, where memories are created and bonds grow strong,” said Steve Majoros, director of marketing, Chevrolet Cars and Crossovers. “As families prepare to hit the road this holiday to spend time with friends and family, they can depend on crossovers like the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse and Equinox to meet their needs, from storage space to USB outlets, available 4G LTE Wi-Fi and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.”

So there you have it: if you want to keep the kids entertained on the Thanksgiving road trip this week, just go out right now and buy a Traverse or an Equinox. The numbers don’t lie.
