We’ve come a long way since the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. Chevrolet is now shipping the 2015 City Express to dealers.

Fleet managers, rejoice! Chevrolet today began shipping the 2015 City Express to dealerships nationwide. The City Express cargo van is smaller than full-size vans, offering savings both at the pump and at the dealership. The 2015 model carries a starting tag of $22,950.

Chevy is offering some pretty neat tools online for potential customers to reduce time spent at the dealership. As with other configurators, customers can build out their desired model, take that info to the dealer, fork over the money, and be on their way. You can check out the configurator online now.

“We understand our customers are often too busy to step away from the office to visit a dealership,” said Ed Peper, US VP of GM Fleet & Commercial, as if he were under the impression that vehicle configurators never existed before today. “So we give them the option to build a City Express online with their specific color, trim, and even wheels, so that they are fully aware of the cost to their business before they meet with a salesperson.”

The all-new City Express is part of an incentive program called Business Choice, giving business owners a $350 Upfit Cash allowance. The cargo van is also covered by Chevrolet Complete Care, meaning it gets two years or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first, yada yada yada) of scheduled maintenance, five years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first, you get the picture) of 24-hour roadside assistance and courtesy transportation, and a five-year or 100,000-mile (you know the deal) powertrain warranty. Oh yeah, and a three-year or 36,000 mile (we’re not even going to say it) bumper-to-bumper limited warranty.

Not a bad deal, eh?
