The 2015 Chevy Tahoe

For years, the exterior of Chevrolet’s full-size SUVs looked like the Detroit automaker’s pickup trucks with side paneling and another row of seating instead of a bed.  As the 2015 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban are unveiled, Chevrolet’s lead designers take consumers on a tour of the all-new vehicles and show just how much has changed.

Chevrolet exterior designer Alexandre Henriques’s tour shows how not even a single sheet metal panel or lighting element is shared between the 2015 Chevy Tahoe and the automaker’s full-size pickups.  The design emphasis when creating the all-new SUVs was functionality, technology, and refinement, and Chevy believes it has achieved that in the 2015 Tahoe.

Chevrolet’s press release offers the example of the “new inlaid doors fit into the body side openings instead of over the top of the body, significantly improving the quietness of the interior cabin and contributing to improved aerodynamics.”

What do you think; does the design of the all-new 2015 Chevy Tahoe epitomize functionality, technology, and refinement?  Share your opinion with us in the comments below!
