Chevy Beat Crossover Concept

And the Beat goes on.

General Motors India has announced that it is launching the 2016 Chevrolet Beat with improved interiors, additional safety features, and more colors. In addition, it has teased a look at a new, presumably Beat-inspired Chevrolet crossover concept that will be unveiled in February at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.

New options available for the 2016 Chevy Beat include remote keyless entry with foldable key, body-colored door handles, and silver interior highlights. The LT trim adds a driver side airbag, and the top-of-the-line trim now gains the LTZ name and features front dual airbags, ABS, and EBD. The new Beat is priced between Rs 4.28 lakh and Rs 5.55 lakh.

Two new, oddly-named colors—Pull Me Over Red and Satin Steel Gray—join the available options of Cocktail Green, Sandrift Grey, Switch Blade Silver, Summit White, Linen Beige, and Caviar Black.

The new Beat will likely be featured alongside Chevrolet vehicles such as the Corvette, Camaro, Trailblazer, and Colorado at the 2016 Auto Expo. Chevrolet is also promising appearances from its new Spin MPV and two concept vehicle reveals. One of these, teased above, appears to be a crossover based upon the Beat.

“Visitors to the 2016 Auto Expo will see a completely new Chevrolet,” said Kaher Kazem, President and Managing Director of GM India. “Our presence at this year’s event will be highlighted by some Chevrolet product reveals that will mirror the aspirations of Indian consumers and compete in the most vital segments of the Indian vehicle market.”
