Chevrolet Sales Thailand this month put together a Safety Driving event at the Bridgestone Proving Grounds in an effort to provide customers and potential customers with first-hand experiences behind the wheel of the new Trailblazer and Captiva and to impart upon them the importance of safe driving by refreshing basic skills and introducing new technologies.

“The event was organized under the concept of ‘CHEVROLET WE CARE’ to provide the best driving experience and safety to our customers,” said Una Tan, director of Marketing and Customer Experience for Chevrolet Sales Thailand. “With the technologies and safety features in our Trailblazer and Captiva combined with the vehicles’ superior driving performance, our customers will feel more confident knowing how well-equipped our products are.”

Technologies put to the test in the Trailblazer and Captiva included Electronic Stability Control and the Traction Control System, which were demonstrated in conjunction with a series of tests involving braking, turning, and swerving. Other features given a spotlight during the event include Anti-Lock Brake System and Panic Brake Assist—both tested on a controlled wet track—as well as cutting-edge technologies including Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

“Customers were impressed by the safety and surprised by the outstanding features and capabilities of the Trailblazer and Captiva,” added Tan. “The Safety Driving event gave them a better understanding of our products and more confidence in them. Chevrolet will continue to host similar activities to drive customer satisfaction.”

Participants were also given refreshers on everything from basic driving position to the most comfortable positioning for pregnant drivers.
